The 2009 “Celoron’s Wild Rib Cook Off & Music Festival” was a resounding success.  Our sincere thanks to The Village of Celoron, The Lakewood Celoron Moose Club, The Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association, the Elicott Police Department the musicians and the many volunteers who helped make this event spectacular.

Professional Award Winning National Touring Rib Cooking Teams will converge in Celoron, NY, at the Lucille Ball Memorial Park located along the shore line of beautiful Lake Chautauqua proudly offering the finest in BBQ cuisine. This exciting family event, now entering its 4th year in the region will also feature delicious festival foods, entertainment, vendors, artists & crafts, informational booths and more. Enjoy a cold one in the beer garden Sponsored by the Lakewood-Celoron Moose and the Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association.

Kids can have a blast in the “RIB Kid Zone” offering fun for all ages. New this year is  the scheduled RIDE-A-RIBBA-RAMMA where kids can ride on Wednesday or Thursday from 5:00PM to 9:00PM for one $10.00 price. In addition, this event now includes the “BIG Kids Zone” where the courageous can test their stamina and skill on the challenging Mechanical Bull.

Take a chance on the “Ride for Hospice Raffle” sponsored by Hospice Chautauqua County.

Visit the Log Cabin in the park for a historic view of the Celoron of yesteryear.  Did you know that the Lucille Ball Memorial Park was once a renowned amusement park?  Be sure to stop in to see what was . . . and while you are there, cast your vote for your favorite rib cooking team at the “People’s Choice” table.

Reserved Parking on Boulevard Street next to the Lucille Ball Memorial Park for Motorcycles.  BIKE NIGHT on Saturday, June 6th.

In addition to the slow-cooked full-rack BBQ ribs, half-rack BBQ ribs, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches  and dinners, the other festival foods include: bbq chicken, fresh-squeezed lemonade, chocolate covered strawberries, kettle korn, roasted nuts, ice cream, chocolate covered cheesecake, fries, chicken fingers, funnel cakes, hot dogs and corn dogs and so much more. Get your taste buds ready!!!

Travel on I-86 toward Jamestown. Take EXIT 8 (the Mayville, Lakewood Exit for RTE 394) From the exit takeRTE 394 EAST (Turn Right).

On RTE 394 East, travel approximately 8.1 Miles.

At the light, the street to the left is Dunham Street.

Turn LEFT on to Dunham Street and follow approximately 1.3 Miles. To the Lucille Ball Memorial Park,

NEW Attraction: CHAINSAW WOOD CARVER, Randy Rupert - owner of the WIZARD’S WORKSHOP will be on site all four days demonstrating his chain saw magic. Watch him cut away at a standing log to reveal  a magnificent nature design.  Randy’s artistry provides a  sophisticated finished project. One that would look as beautiful outdoors as it would among your finest indoor decorations. Pieces of all styles from bears to Eagles and more will be available for sale.
